A person who was critically injured in an assault last month in Napier has died.

Police were called on 1 February to an incident on Clark Avenue in the suburb of Pirimai.
The victim died in hospital yesterday.
A 48-year-old woman had earlier been charged with injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police said investigators would make more inquiries to determine if any further charges will be filed.
