Fri, 3rd May 2024

ServiceNow, the renowned digital workflow firm, is enhancing its leadership in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) in a bid to promote customer success and reinforce its top-ranked culture. The president of ServiceNow for the Asia-Pacific region, Detlef Krause, expressed his delight in welcoming Barry Dietrich and David Thodey AO to the company's thriving ANZ sector.

Commencing as ServiceNow Group VP for ANZ this June, Barry Dietrich is expected to engage his extensive experience in IT enterprise and public sector roles to deliver customer-centric solutions. Dietrich has a 25-year track record in his field, marked by successful stints with multiple APAC and ANZ roles at Salesforce, and as head of Oracle Australia's public sector team for six years. The new Group VP has experience in empowering workplaces from his early tenure working on South Africa's largest-ever public-private partnership, which developed the globe's first paperless and completely filmless hospital.

The drive to facilitate business transformation in the ANZ region is echoed by Detlef Krause, who said, “ServiceNow’s global expansion is booming, and bringing experienced leadership who excel at customer success and team building is the next step in our journey.” He outlined the significant roles played by the incoming executives as facilitators of this transformation, commending them for their commitment to customer-oriented results, innovation, and the shared purpose of ServiceNow to "make the world work better for everyone."

On ServiceNow, Dietrich commented on the company's "unique position in the enterprise software industry with its one-platform, one data source model." He also expressed eagerness to commence his role, stating: "The ServiceNow ANZ business has a wonderful array of customers who are leveraging technology to radically improve employee and customer experiences. I look forward to leading the team to deliver similar benefits to an even greater number of ANZ customers."

Recently appointed to a strategic advisory position, David Thodey AO brings to the table his long-term support for Australia's digital business transformation. Thodey, a seasoned executive with a remarkable career marked by roles as CEO at Telstra and IBM Australia and New Zealand, will focus on maximising the value that ServiceNow customers derive from the AI platform for business transformation.

Drawing from his vast experience of digital transformation, Thodey emphasised the importance of proficiency in technology to every board member, stating that "this mandate no longer lives with the technologist, it's a shared responsibility." He recognised ServiceNow as a pioneering promoter of cutting-edge technology, lauding its ability to help companies transform systems and processes with "one platform that brings automation and AI capabilities to the table and puts low code and no code capabilities into the hands of everyone in your business to reap productivity benefits."
